Gun safe, slate pool table, commercial-grade treadmill, or heavy shop equipment - we bring the boards, straps, and stair gear to walk it out clean, even down tight bungalow steps.
Get My Flat QuoteSpace City Movers takes on the heavy, awkward, high-value pieces most crews would rather pass on. The crew brings skid boards, heavy-duty straps, and stair-climbing rigging, and works gun safes, hot tubs, gym setups, pool tables, and oversized art out through cramped doorways and downtown freight elevators — the heavy item folded into one flat rate before we ever begin.
Every time. Whether it's a gun safe, a hot tub, a pool table, or some other unwieldy heavyweight, the crew arrives with the skid boards, the straps, and enough hands to walk it out the door without a scrape.
Yes. That specialty item is built into your single flat rate from the outset, so there's no surprise waiting when we reach the door.
We handle jobs like that all the time. We match the dolly and the crew count to the load, then ease it into the freight elevator or up the stairs.
The truck carries skid boards, lifting straps, stair-climbing rigging, and dollies rated by weight, and the crew picks whatever the particular job calls for.
Anything past the 400-pound mark, Cody adds movers to the job, so a slate table or a safe stays under control through every turn and up each stair.
It can. On top of the standard released value, you can add full-value protection covering up to $1,000,000 per shipment, and you'll have nine months to file a claim.

One flat rate on every job around Houston and Harris County, whether it's a Heights bungalow, a Midtown high-rise, or a Katy new-build - and you see that number before we lift a thing.
Local MovingThe crew that loads you in Houston is the crew that unloads you at the far end, on one binding written price - out 290 to Austin or up I-45 to Dallas, no swapped trucks, no re-weigh.
Long-DistanceWhole-house moves handled start to finish: every piece padded and wrapped, carried down third-floor walk-ups in the Gulf Coast heat, then set back in place room by room.
Residential MovingHigh-rise towers downtown, fourplexes in Montrose, condos by the Medical Center - we file the certificate of insurance with building management and book the freight elevator before move-day.
Apartment & CondoGive us a day of lead time and the crew boxes the whole house in our own cartons and paper - kitchen, closets, garage, attic - so all that's left on the day is walking it to the truck.
Packing ServiceWhen the sale and the move-in refuse to line up, park your household with us: a clean, climate-held space you rent by the week, with no long commitment and no surprise line items.
Short-Term StorageA padded piano board, proper straps, and stair rollers carry your upright, spinet, or baby grand safely - whether it's threading out of a downtown freight elevator or easing down a narrow Montrose staircase.
Piano MovingAlready booked the rental truck, trailer, or pod and just need strong backs? Our crew stacks and braces every piece so nothing shifts once you hit I-10 or the Beltway.
Loading HelpDownsizing after decades in one home takes a gentle pace - we sort and pad what matters, move on your schedule, and get the new place set up and livable before we head out.
Senior MovingOffices, storefronts, and Energy Corridor suites moved evenings or weekends so you never lose a business day - every item inventoried and dropped where your new floor plan calls for it.
Office & CommercialLife doesn't always give notice - a bumped closing, a lease that ends Friday. We keep same-day and next-day slots in reserve and send our own Space City crew, not a subcontractor scrambled at the last minute.
Last-MinuteGun safe, slate pool table, commercial-grade treadmill, or heavy shop equipment - we bring the boards, straps, and stair gear to walk it out clean, even down tight bungalow steps.
Specialty Items
Tell us what is on the move and a written figure lands back with you fast — no in-home survey to book, no pushy sales call, and not a dollar added once the day comes.
In the last few days before move-day, your dispatcher phones to run through timing, the two addresses, and anything tight about the access — so the crew turns up already briefed on the stairs, the piano, and where the truck should sit.
Before a single item moves, your crew chief walks each room, rolls out runners across the floors and doorways, wraps everything up, then loads the truck in the order it will come off at the far end.
Every carton goes straight to its room, whatever we took apart gets rebuilt, and if you’d rather not deal with the empties, they ride out with us.
We circle the place with you one more time to make sure everything landed where you wanted it, and the figure on the paperwork is the figure you settle — nothing more. Welcome home.
